Our Builder: A Family Tradition
Chris Blackwell started over 29 years ago, on the job site with his dad, Bill Blackwell. Bill started his sons out at a young age. They grew up on the job site as well as in a good Home.
Anyone that knows Bill Blackwell will tell you, that he is a hard worker and teaches everything to be done the right way. With that mindset, quality was the goal from day one.
After many years of working for dad and learning the business, Chris started his own business, C Blackwell Construction.
Now, 29 years later, and 730 homes under his belt, quality is still the main focus on all of his homes.
Since those days, house plans, lighting, plumbing fixtures, brick, shingles, flooring, carpet, even grass seed have changed. Bill Blackwell, retired now, still frequents the job sites, to help keep up with the changing times and to help Chris guide C Blackwell Construction into the future.
Hunter, Chris's son, is now a sophomore in high school. He is directing his school studies towards the building industry. He will be the next generation of Blackwell Construction.
Bill has always kept the family in church and demands Christian values in the workplace. Chris attends Grace Community Church. He takes pride in hand picking his employees that represent his company.
C Blackwell Construction is a member of the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce, Clarksville Association of Realtors, NFIB and Clarksville Montgomery County Home Builders Association.
After years of residential building, Chris branched out into developing and commercial building as well. Some of the developments include Liberty Park, Sterling Hills, Blackwell Acres, Old Mack Rd., Louise Creek Rd., Seven Mile Ferry and Bend rd. Chris is currently in the beginning stages of developing Chaple Ridge Subdivision to be located on Chapel Hill Rd. As well as 3 large lots on Bend Rd.
Our office is located at 184 Industrial Dr., Clarksville Tn. Feel free to stop by our office. Our friendly staff is available to answer any questions that you or a potential buyer might have. A new home buyer can come to our office to make almost all the selections for their new home from many samples we have on display. Chris along with his experienced staff strive to make the process the buyers go through from the beginning to the move in with the least amount of stress possible.

The ladies in the office are great. Chris is busy but when you are able to catch him he will listen and do what he can for you. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being best, I'd rate him a 10. Had him build us a custom home and within only months we had issues with our drive way and he had it fixed as soon as he could. He is a good Christian man and believes in taking care of his customers.
Chris built our dream home on our farm. If it wasn’t for him it wouldn’t have been possible. Any issue we had he took care of it. David Baggett is a great person to deal with. If you want a great foreman ask for him. Thank you Chris and I recommend this company to anyone.
